Blu-Ray

I have a Playstation 3 which can play BLU-RAY movies.  I rent movies on BLU-RAY but until recently i have refused to buy a blu-ray dvd. Why? It's because i don't see the point in forking out an extra 10 dollars on a movie exp. if i can only watch it on a blu-ray disc player. I love the qualities of a BLU-RAY dvd but just really care that much to spend more on something that really isn't that big of  a deal. So the other day i went to Best Buy to buy the new Coraline Special Edition on DVD. When i got to the store, i realized that the BLU-RAY of Coraline was only 3 dollars more and not only offered the BLU-RAY version of the movie but also the DVD version as well and that alone sold me. I bought the BLU-RAY and it really is incredible. But I still will keep buying regular DVD's unless company's continue with this package of both BLU-RAY and DVD combo. If they do this, consider me on board BLU-RAY.

Little Movies that Could!

If you can try and go check out these films. They are quite excellent indies that should be check out before you go see movies like Transformers 2.

1. MOON - An pretty cool little Sci-Fi film that doesn't rely on expensive special effects to tell the story.Sam Rockwell's intense performance is truely amazing which makes  Moon is a compelling work of science-fiction. Plus it is directed by David Bowie's son, Duncan Jones!

2. (500) DAYS OF SUMMER - This generations Annie Hall. I believe this movie is going to be a huge hit this summer. A refreshingly honest take on romatic comedy's with great performances from Joseph Gordan-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. A ROM-COM that both male and females will enjoy!

3. THE HURT LOCKER - One of the Best Action Films of the year and the best film about the War on Iraq ever made. This movie is one hell of a film with great performances and every scene being a edge of your seat type of ride. Please check this bad ass film out! Starring  Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie

4. IN THE LOOP (OUT TODAY) - FUNNY As Hell satire on Politics. This british film examines the intricacies of international politics. With a combination of The Office and Dr. Strangelove, this film is a abrasive, funny, biting and a must see. Starring James Gandolfini and Tom Hollander
